We hope you enjoyed the 2022 Ravenna Railroad Festival, our biggest year yet! We broke several records from past years, welcoming 60+ vendors and over a dozen talented performers to our venue at Kentucky Steam Heritage Corporation. Expanding to a two-day event was a great success.
We are thrilled to announce that this year's festival is taking place on September 7-8, 2024.
We would like to thank everyone who helped us cover costs in 2023. With your generous help, we were able to improve the sound for our musicians, rent equipment to level out the ground, and launch the first annual Miss Railroad Festival pageant. As we look forward to 2024, we know there will be even more features that we’d like to add in addition to our normal operating expenses. Here are some examples of what costs we may incur over the course of the festival:
We expect that the expenses for the 2024 Ravenna Railroad Festival will total around $20,000. We know budgets are tight right now, but we appreciate any support you can give to our endeavors.
The Ravenna Railroad Festival is a celebration of the rich railroad history of our region, specifically centering on our City of Ravenna which was established by the L&N railroad over a century ago. This annual event is a weekend celebration showcasing live music, over 50 arts and crafts vendors and tasty regional cuisine and, for the first time ever in 2021, was held at The Yard, Kentucky Steam’s developing property just across the railroad tracks from us in Ravenna.
Your sponsorship can help provide our festival with a greater capacity to draw attendees from all over the region, and can also provide a platform for showcasing your investment in the Appalachian Kentucky community at large.
